Students showed their understanding of the concept of Producers and
consumers by showing the production of a particular product and how it is used
by the consumer. Students were able to identify goods and services that they
must pay for. They also did comprehend the importance of the work done by
people at home and in the community. Through their work they also displayed how they
and family members fulfil these roles at home and in their community. They also
explored the goods and services that people use and they identified those that
require the payment of money.
The whole engagement left me pondering when students discussed the fact that family members are often not
paid for the work they do at home and as volunteers, taking account of the
possibility that the benefits may outweigh the lack of pay! FAMILY TIES J
