While campers use the term “fun,” I prefer the term
“engaging.” Camp is engaging intellectually, emotionally, physically.
Camp
@ Damdama was stress-free, non-judgmental, creative with an open environment. It aimed at imparting life skills training and
personality enrichment programmes. This was carried out through practical and
experiential learning in outbound, picturesque, serene and natural environment.
It was run by a highly experienced and dedicated team of professionals. Camps
inculcated in children love for nature, human values, morals and ethics.
For many, it was their first time away from
home. Students learnt new skills, engage in challenging activities and develop
teamwork competency and a level of independence, all in a safe and nurturing
environment. Children enjoyed a range of fun and rewarding
activities including free fall, commando net, treasure hunt, Burma bridge, artificial wall
climbing, cat walk, flying fox, low ropes course and team initiatives. They provided opportunities for students to
live in shared accommodation, develop social skills and independence, challenge
themselves and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.
What fun
it was being away from home and school. Not even once children remembered their
parents…….
It was transformations
before our very eyes J
Looking forward
to yet another camping experience
