THE HAUNTED HOUSE-SAISHA SINGH

I have written a book that belongs to the genre of fantasy. I like reading books which have magic, fairies and spell in it. So I chose to write a magical book. My story is about a family shifts to a new house, but it is a haunted one. Living in that house the people also became bad and started troubling people. I enjoyed writing this book.

THE ADVENTURE OF PIRATE JACK-RISHABH KHOSLA

HEROIC HENDRICK’S ROLLER COASTER ADVENTURES-SATYAKAM JETHWANI

My story’s genre is adventure. I was inspired by famous five. My story’s title is heroic Hendricks’s roller coaster adventure. It has five chapters. He has a time machine and say-it-to-go plane. The 1st chapter is about when I went to the titanic and saved it from drowning by pulling the 38th latch so water couldn’t flood.  The 2nd one is about when I went to the future and saved a sky scraper from falling. in the 3rd chapter I went to another galaxy where it was really strange and I told the King that I would bring servants from the earth. In the 4th chapter I go to Egypt and find a mummy and capture a world famous thief. In the 5th chapter I find a magic racket and it helps me win a grand slam. These are my adventures.

BOOK LAUNCH

‘Imagination is more important than knowledge’- Albert Einstein

The importance of artistic and creative development is something that can be encouraged at a young age. 3rd Graders had a grand BOOK LAUNCH on Friday, 2nd November. These books were written by the students themselves as a summative ending to their unit of inquiry under the Transdisciplinary Theme ‘How we express ourselves’. The day started with a session by a renowned children’s author, Ms Sonali Pota wherein she interacted with them and narrated a story written by her under the genre of mythology. Students were bubbling with energy and their enthusiasm knew no bounds. The official Book Release was done by the School director, Dr Naidu. Students loved to talk about books! What a lovely way to support and encourage kids' love for reading by giving them an opportunity to connect, on a personal level, with the books they wrote and then share their ideas, thoughts, and opinions with family members, friends, and teachers.
What confidence they exhibited during the whole process. Opportunity was given to them where the children’s creative juices were allowed to run wild and unhindered, which helped them develop and strengthen their written and verbal skills.
We have many budding writers and poets in the making!! We should nurture and foster creativity in children as creative writing and being imaginative as it plays an important role in one’s ability to communicate.

TRICK-O-TREAT

With the temperatures cooling down and the days getting dry, there is no doubt that Halloween is right around the corner. Students were very excited to dress up in their Halloween costumes and had a parade in the Amphitheatre.  With everything from little brothers who are more monstrous than normal, to vampires with dental issues, to witches with a talent for baking, there was something to appeal to every little ghost or goblin.

JUMBLE STORY

Students were divided in groups of 3. They had to choose four numbers (from 1 to 10). Each number corresponded to an item on the list. The first number was the character their stories are to be focussed on, the second number was the setting for their stories, the third was time and the last was challenge. Students had to write a story with the character, setting, time period, and situation that they had chosen. The character that they chose was the main character in the story, but necessarily not the ONLY character in the story. Likewise, most of the story had to take place in the setting that they chose. The situation or challenge that they had chosen had to involve the main character or the main character may observe someone else who dealt with the situation or challenge.

The stories tat they had written were simply awesome:) all of it gives me complex as I cannot even imagine myself being such prolific writer at such an age.
