GRANDPARENTS DAY

Grandparents are special to every child. Their bed-time stories are integral part of everyone's growing up years. They are also the wise and experienced ones we turn to in times of trouble. Their knowledge is invaluable and their love unconditional.

In keeping with this, Pathways, Aravali celebrated Grandparents' Day. The day was bubbling with enthusiasm and warmth. Children had put up a lovely performance to show their affection for their grandparents. It was followed by fun events at different venues of the school. They were thrilled to participate in the events together.  While speaking, one grandmother was so touched that she burst into tears, saying that she felt she had come to Heaven here.
The whole place was echoing with sounds expressing excitement and joy. J

DAILY REFLECTION

Encouraging children to think about what they did enables them to use this information as they plan what they will do next. [1] It is valuable to have a set time each day when children gather in a small group to share what they have done. For my class, I do it at Prep time…just before they leave. It is a kind of exit card for them. It is a period for reflection soon after children have completed their planned activities. With this I can encourage children to ponder the what and why of their actions with a temporal immediacy that makes reflection especially relevant and meaningful to them. Recording children’s remarks as they reflect on their activities tells them their thoughts are worth preserving.
Reflection is remembering accompanied by evaluation.

VISUAL IMAGERY

Students showed their understanding of Producers and Consumers by showing the production of a product and how it is used by a consumer. The twist in the engagement was that they had to show their understanding without having used any words.

Amazing Visual Imagery!!!!
