Dear Supriya

I would like to share with you that JIYA has been an active member of NIRVANA GREENS TEAM past one year....This team works to keep the surroundings GREEN.
The team members are from all the age groups doing their bit in educating family and friends. They meet up every fifteen days doing small workshops on Rain Water Harvesting, benefits of Solar Energy and Conserving Water, putting Exhibitions relating to same, doing Nature Walks, Planting trees and further nurturing them...
Jiya has done her bit by making paper bags and planting a tree in the vicinity. She made a wonderful chart regarding rainwater harvesting in one of the exhibitions.
The present TD theme SHARING THE PLANET has made her much more focussed.......She never forgets to go and have a look at the tree she planted and attends all her meetings with her team. She makes sure that water is not wasted back home. Lots to learn from her..
Thanks n regards
Monika

Dear ma'am,

The learning imbibed through the unit of enquiry is apparent from daily habits of Aditya. The carefree person that he is he always used to take papers for doing the rough work like calculations or for drawing something for his brother, where only one side of the paper was used and other side remained blank. Now in order to save trees, he has made a point to keep such papers in a tray, which he has specially made for storing such papers so that these can be used later on. He has also made a box to keep used note books where papers are blank and can be used for rough work or reference writing.

Aditya earlier used to love taking shower but now he has also become particular about saving water and ensures to take bath from a bucket with a view to save water.

All credit of making the boys a wise person goes to you the teachers.

Regards
Preeti

Dear Supriyaa,
You will be pleased to know that Aryan took the initiative of cleaning up the colony in Moradabad after the Diwali celebration. The residents of the colony had firework on the Diwali night and littered the place with burnt crackers. I had a conversation with Aryan about being a responsible citizen. He decided to pick up the trash. Though his action was parent initiated but it was his enthusiasm that he went ahead and picked up the trash without any hesitation. His act motivated his sister and a few other kids who joined him in clearing up the mess.
I would request you to kindly acknowledge his action.

With regards,
Nalini Vohra

Hi Supriya,

Angkrish has been regularly contributing his toys and books to Cankids which is a NGO for cancer affected children. On a regular basis the boys sought out toys and books for these children. This year he had gotten some gifts on his birthday that he decided to share with them.

Hi. I also noticed something very thoughtful that I would like to share with you.
We had a Diwali meal in our building where a lot of children had put up their stalls. There were 2 kids who had put up a stall who's patents work for families in our building. These kids live in the EWS quarters. Angkrish kept spending his money on their stall to buy the paintings that these kids had made.
He gave me two reasons for that, one that he really liked their paintings and two that he felt bad that no one was buying their stuff.
